VM module consisted of liaising with Fashion Designer Iris Van Herpen, an Haute Couture designer to create an instore Visual Merchandising display. By combining her Haute Couture Capriole collection with a collaboration of a retail store, such as ODD in New York. Through creating a professional development of a floor plan and three dimensional displays, of her garments and accessories in order to maximise sale potentials. Iris Van Herpen’s Capriole Collection evokes movement and empowerment, which inspired a creation of industrial inspired interior to contrast the differences of design. This aesthetic will be displayed across the interior and exterior of the window and instore display. The Visual Merchandising module allowed my skills to develop further, by creating professional three dimensional displays. VM allowed me to analyse an in depth exploration of skills by creating a retail floor plan, focusing on engaging customers to boost sales activity. While inputting creative skills and attention to detail to create displays suiting the theme, and products which capture the consumer’s attention by engaging products at eye and height level to attract consumers and draw their attention to the product’s best features.
